If you are a Spotsylvania County resident, you can take your residential trash to any of the County-owned convenience centers and the Livingston Landfill. View the Solid Waste Center Information page for locations and hours of operation.
Effective May 1, 2021, residents that wish to dispose of trash and recycling at any County-owned facility will need to have a refuse decal permanently affixed to the vehicle being used to haul the solid waste. More information can be found here: Refuse Decals.
Residents can self-haul trash and recycling to any of the County-owned convenience centers and the Livingston Landfill. Spotsylvania County does not provide curbside pickup of trash and recycling. There are several private commercial firms that provide curbside services. Please refer to your local directory to find a provider of curbside services for your area.
