Ascent overview:
Ascent is an online learning platform that utilizes a modern, e-learning approach specifically targeted for women business owners who want to grow their existing businesses. It’s packed with the resources women need to set, and achieve, their business goals. All content is backed by research on the needs of women business owners.
BIO:
Dawn Saddler joined the Small Business Administration (SBA) in 2022 as the Senior Information Technology (IT) Program Manager for the Office of Entrepreneurial Development (OED). Dawn leads the design, development, operations and maintenance of the OED IT product suite including the Electronic Learning Initiative (ELI) and Ascent. This IT product suite is critical to the success of OED’s mission in helping small business owners and entrepreneurs to grow and thrive, especially in underserved communities.
Dawn has over 20 years of experience modernizing and transforming business processes and information technology platforms at federal agencies. She has previously worked with the Smithsonian Institution, Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Interior (DOI), and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Dawn was awarded VA’s 2021 IT Employee of the Year for her leadership in modernizing VA technology platforms.
