Spotsylvania Recycles goal is to encourage sustainable solid waste management through responsible disposal habits. Recyclables are collected at area convenience centers at no additional cost to residents. Last year, Spotsylvania County achieved an overall recycling rate of 33%; while this number beats the State mandated 25%; the program continues to strive for better recycling percentages. Staff continually evaluates management options to find the most economical way to maximize Spotsylvania County's overall recycling percentage while trying to make recycling easier for the customer.
