Solid Waste Center Information
Spotsylvania County provides trash disposal and recycling drop-off options to residents through 13 convenience centers and the County operated Livingston Landfill. Convenience centers are open to Spotsylvania County Residents ONLY. All commercial users are required to use the Livingston Landfill; commercial waste will not be accepted at any convenience center.

Note: Stumps, Hazardous Waste, and Medical Waste are not accepted at any solid waste collection facility. Household Hazardous Waste is accepted from residential customers only through Household Hazardous Waste Day Events. For the next scheduled event and information about the program, see Household Hazardous Waste.
Spotsylvania County does not provide curbside pick-up. Consult your local directory for providers of curbside trash disposal services in your area.
Hours of Operation
County Solid Waste Facilities observe the following hours of operation and closures.
Convenience Center Hours
Monday through Sunday
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Livingston Landfill Operation Hours
Monday through Sunday
7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Livingston Convenience Center Hours (Located at Landfill)
Monday through Sunday
7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Landfill Note
The Livingston Landfill Facility will be open Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Juneteenth, Columbus Day, Election Day, and Veteran's Day, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Livingston Convenience Center will be open on these days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inclement Weather Closures
The landfill and convenience centers will be closed when the County Government Offices are closed for inclement weather. Should an inclement weather event occur on the weekend, please check your local closure listing or call your nearest convenience center prior to traveling to the center to confirm that the center is open.
