Volunteer Recruitment

A dedicated team of career and volunteer professionals provide fire and EMS service to over 130,000 residents of Spotsylvania County. Several hundred trained men and women staff the county's ten rescue squads and ten fire companies, covering an area of 407 square miles.

A Growing County

As one of the nation's fastest-growing counties, Spotsylvania needs dedicated volunteers to serve as firefighters, EMS providers, and support personnel. Don't worry if you're not inclined to wrestle a fire hose or perform CPR. The three volunteer fire and EMS agencies serving Spotsylvania County also need volunteers for administrative duties. All county agencies provide training, outstanding support, and great rewards.
