Commissioner of the Revenue

The Commissioner of the Revenue is a constitutional officer elected for a four-year term by general election.

The following are administered by this office:

• Creates and maintains the County Real Estate Land Book
• Accepts and reviews applications in the Real Estate Division for:
  • First Responder's Exemption
  • Killed in Action Exemption
  • Land Use Deferral Program
  • Tax Relief for the Elderly & Disabled
  • Veteran's Exemption
• Maintains filing of personal property, business property, business license, meals tax, and excise tax assessments
• Provides adjustments when necessary to any assessment
• Oversees the Assessment Office 
• Assist citizens with filing of State Income Tax.
