43rd Annual Christmas Parade
Activities will resume under guidance from the Commonwealth of Virginia and Spotsylvania County officials. Please note that classes, programs, facility rentals, special events, and sports may be delayed, postponed, or cancelled if at any time new guidance is issued at the state or local levels regarding the COVID-19 virus. Attendants will not be able to participate if they are experiencing any of the following: cough, shortness of breath, fever or chills, sore throat, muscle aches, headache, or new loss of smell or taste.
While we would LOVE to keep things the same as usual, we may need to shake things up (please read carefully!)...
OPTION 1: Our first choice is to have the parade as normal! We would love to see our usual moving parade in the Courthouse District, however, in order to do so we would need to move out of Phase 3 and have the restrictions for events lifted.
OPTION 2: If the Commonwealth of Virginia remains in Phase 3 and the guidelines stay as is, we will be unable to host the parade as usual. BUT DON'T WORRY...THE FUN WON'T STOP!! We will host a "Holly Jolly Holiday Drive-Thru" at Loriella Park!! At our Holly Jolly Holiday Drive-Thru" participants will be stationed all around Loriella Park while spectators will drive through our winter wonderland and wave and yell from their windows as they take in the Christmas sights and spectacles! Participants will spread holiday cheer while staying stationary and putting their wonderful floats, dance routines, costumes and spirit on display for all to enjoy!
*Please note: Due to Safety Concerns Involving Covid-19, Candy & Hand Outs Will Not Be Permitted At The "Holly Jolly Holiday Drive-Thru".
WE WILL ANNOUNCE WHICH OPTION WILL BE USED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th **
