Ruffin's Reserve Community Meeting

The purpose of the community meeting is to allow for input, questions, and comments for a proposed rezoning application for forty-nine (49) Single-family detached homes, containing approximately 20 acres, in the Lee's Hill Voting District.  The Tax Map Parcel is 38(A)12.

FEMA Floodplain Maps Workshop

Spotsylvania County is conducting a workshop with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) o assist citizens that have been impacted by the FEMA floodplain map changes that went into effect on May 9, 2023.  DCR staff will provide one-on-one assistance to citizens to include instructions on how to request map changes and insurance mandate requirements.  The Floodplain Maps Workshop is open to the public and  is scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, October 11, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located at 9104 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.

The meeting will begin with an overview presentation followed by breakout time for individuals to consult with DCR staff about their properties.

Regency Park Condominiums

The purposed of the virtual Community Meeting is to review plans for a proposed residential development containing 142 age-restricted multi-family condominiums, along with not less than 3,000 square feet of commercial space.  The development is located on the north side of Five Mile Road, approximately 0.2 miles north of Plank Road/State Route 3.  The development will be on approximately 7.17 acres, Tax Map 12(25)1-17 in the Chancellor Voting District.  The zoning for all parcels is C-2, but will require rezoning to MU-4.  Additional information below:
