Salem Supervisor Dr. Paul Trampe was born in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Virginia in 1987 after graduating college. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics from Cornell College as well as Master of Arts in History and a PhD. in Public Policy from George Mason University. Dr. Trampe previously taught public policy at American and George Mason Universities. He worked for the federal government for 22 years, dividing that time between the legislative and executive branches as an economist. His experience includes three years of service with the Federal Highway Administration. Dr. Trampe currently works for the Department of Defense and resides in the Salem District with wife Michele and their two dogs.
