Livingston District Supervisor Barry Jett began his first term on the Board of Supervisors in 2020. The Spotsylvania native resides on the same farm on which he was raised. He graduated from Spotsylvania High School and attended Germanna Community College with studies focused on police science. Mr. Jett began working at the Ames G.C. Murphy Warehouse in Spotsylvania shortly after high school graduation and continued working there until it closed. He decided to make a career change in 1992, when we went to work at the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office, under the direction of Sheriff T.C. Waddy. Mr. Jett retired from the Sheriff's Office January 1, 2016 with the rank of lieutenant. He is the proud father of three children, one grown and two who attend Spotsylvania High School.
