    Courtland District Supervisor

    Retired United States Marine aviator David Ross is serving his third term on the Board of Supervisors. He was first elected to represent the Courtland district in 2011. Originally from Oakland, Iowa, he has a BBA in Finance from Iowa State University and a MS in Systems Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. Since 2008, he has worked as a Program Manager in the software development field supporting the Marine Corps’ promotion process and Air Force Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure Cloud migrations. Ross also holds a Program Management Professional (PMP), ITL Foundations, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and Security + certifications. His wife, Jennifer is a local physician who graduated valedictorian from Courtland High School in Spotsylvania County. They have six children ages 11 to 24, who attend/graduated from: Spotsylvania County Public Schools, Fredericksburg Christian School, the University of Virginia, the University of Mary Washington, Germanna, Liberty University, and the Virginia Military Institute. The Ross family are members of New Life in Christ Church, also located in the Courtland District.
