Voter Registration:  Dir. of Elections / General Registrar's Office


The Director of Elections (Voter Registration) registers all qualified voters within the County, maintains 87,000 voter records, organizes and conducts voter registration drives, trains Election Officials, conducts absentee voting, manages new candidate qualifications with campaign finance and supervises primary, special and general election polling precincts for local, state and federal elections.

Office Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm...additional hours close to Election dates.  (Location of our office.)

An appointed constitutional officer, the Director of Elections / General Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and processes election results. The Registrar conducts all voter administration and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the Department of Elections.
