Voter Registration:  General Registrar's Office


The General Registrar's Office (Voter Registration) registers all qualified voters within the County, maintains voter's records, organizes and conducts voter registration drives, trains Election Officials, conducts absentee voting, manages new candidate qualifications with campaign finance and supervises primary, special and general election polling precincts for local, state and federal elections.

Office Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm...additional hours close to Election dates.  (Location of our office.)

An appointed constitutional officer, the Director of Elections / General Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and election results. The Registrar conducts all voter administration and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the Department of Elections.

  • Check our Facebook Page - Spotsylvania Votes - for updates and election information.  Not confirmed yet, but our County will most likely hold a June 13th Primary Election.  (After this is confirmed (in April), we will have your election information to view)
  • WHAT WILL BE ON YOUR BALLOT?  Click here , enter your basic information and view what will be on your ballot.  
  • The 702/Brent's Mill Precinct (formerly voting at the Harrison Road Community Building) has moved next door into the Knights of Pythias building (330 Wallace Lane, 22408).  See the attached map.

  • The next Electoral Board Meeting will be March 15th at 11:00am, held in our office - 9106A Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, 22553.
