Trash Disposal
Residents are responsible for getting rid of their own garbage, either by paying a private company or hauling it to a landfill or drop-off site. Private trash haulers service many subdivisions in the county. Call homeowners associations for more information or check the yellow pages. County recycling and solid waste collection sites are open to Spotsylvania County residents only. Commercial waste is not accepted at any convenience sites.
