2004 Spotsylvania Film Festival!

As darkness begins to fall and the stars begin to twinkle; return to the bygone era of the “Drive-in” movie.  Legion Field behind the Marshall Center at Spotsylvania Courthouse will be equipped with a 26 foot high by 40 foot wide inflatable cinema quality movie screen and the Metro Technical Services’ professional sound and projection crew.  There will be plenty of children's activities, and fabulous vendors with popcorn, sandwiches, pizza, snosno-cones, funnel cakes, candy, and ices.  So bring your blankets or lawn chairs, but no pets, glass containers, alcoholic beverages or smoking.  Admission is just $2 for everyone. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at dark. 

When: Thursday, July 8th through Sunday, July 11th
Where: Legion Field behind the Marshall Center at Spotsylvania Courthouse (same location as last year)
Admission: $2 per person
Time: Gates open at 6pm; Movie Starts at Dark

Classics Category: The Wizard of Oz Thursday, July 8th
Action Category: The Lord of the Rings, Return of the King Friday, July 9th
Family Comedy*: Cheaper by the Dozen (starring Steve Martin & Bonnie Hunt) Saturday, July 10th*
Kids: Ice Age Sunday, July 11th


*On Saturday, July 10, the Spotsylvania Film Festival will be a collection point for the Area Food Bank.  All attendees are strongly encouraged to bring donations to help the families in our community that may be suffering from economic setbacks.  The Food Bank also provides snacks and lunches to our area's needy children through their Kids' Cafe Program.  The Area Food Bank is in desperate need of emergency food supplies.  The most needed items are canned vegetables, boxed dinners, cereals, meats, dairy products, and produce.  The Food Bank helps about 20,000 people annually in our region.  For more information, please call 540-371-7666.
