An appointed constitutional officer, the Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and election results. The Registrar conducts registration and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the State Board of Elections.
If you would like to register to vote but have a few questions, feel free to call our office at 540-507-7380, read over the links below or visit the State Board of Elections website. In case you didn't know, Virginia is a non-party affiliated state...take a look at this informational page from the State Board site. (Third paragraph)
The upcoming elections for our County in 2010 are Primary, if held - June 8, 2010 and then the General on November 2, 2010. This election will be for U.S. Representatives. For more information on GETTING YOUR VOTE COUNTED, please click here for the link to a page on the State Board site.

"Absentee Coordinator" - Christina Johnson: Accountable for all aspects of absentee voting, applications, processing, in-person and by mail, etc. Also supervises Campaign Finance reporting. Contact Christina at 540-507-7381 or cjohnson@spotsylvania.va.us.
"Election Official Coordinator" - Bessie Ann Morefield: Responsible for mailing/handling paperwork for all election officials, scheduling workers at precincts, etc. Contact Bessie at 540-507-7384 or via kacors@spotsylvania.va.us.
"Elections Coordinator" - Ann Kidd: Handles preparation for precincts and our office on Election Days, schedules dates with schools and community buildings, etc. Contact Ann at 540-507-7383 or akidd@spotsylvania.va.us.
