Utilities/Public Works Department
The Utilities/Public Works Department provides water and sewer service to the suburban part of Spotsylvania County. Residential customers pay varying rates based on their usage. The Department also provides for the collection of refuse and recycables from County convienence sites, administers, operates and maintains the County landfills and composting facility in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations; and coordinates and promotes recycling, litter control and environmental education programs within the County.
