Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management staff conducts fire inspections and investigates fires of suspicious or unknown origin, has established a Smoke Detector Program, oversees a Child Safety Seat Program, and is a participating partner in the Rappahannock Regional Fire and EMS Training Center. The department also conducts public safety education and fire safety awareness programs in the schools and other public arenas.
Our administrative staff provides administrative/clerical support to the office/field personnel and the general operations of the department. The Chief sets the policies and procedures for the department and coordinates main fire and rescue issues with the volunteer agencies to provide quality services to the Spotsylvania County citizens.
