Procurement Department

The Procurement Department assists departments within Spotsylvania County Government to obtain high quality goods and services at a reasonable cost and assures that all procurement procedures are conducted in a fair and impartial manner with avoidance of any impropriety.   The Procurement Policy of Spotsylvania County and the Code of Virginia, Virginia Public Procurement Act, govern the rules and regulations for the procedures of the Procurement Department.

The Procurement Department coordinates, reviews, and processes County purchases of goods and services including equipment, supplies, construction, non-professional and professional services.   Invitation for Bids are issued through competitive sealed bidding and Request for Proposals are issued through competitive negotiations to obtain goods and services through the Procurement Department.
