Citizens Transportation Advisory Group

Purpose

The Citizens Transportation Advisory Group (CTAG) mission statement provides basic policy guidance to the group and focuses on activities that provide useable products given the resources, time and skills likely available within the membership.  CTAG will probably not undertake detailed studies, develop independent regional plans, or involve itself in strictly local conflicts.  It will function in an advisory capacity at all stages of the transportation planning process.  CTAG will work with and report to FAMPO Policy and Technical Committees.

Mission A:  Provide independent, region-oriented citizen input into the plans, programs and projects developed by FAMPO in an advisory capacity at all stages of the transportation planning process.

Mission B:  Respond to requests from the FAMPO Policy and Technical Committees to assess and comment on specific issues or subject matter.

Mission C:  Serve as a vehicle to promote public awareness and knowledge of, as well as broad public participation in, the region-wide transportation planning processes in the MPO.
