The General Registrar's Office (Voter Registration) registers all qualified voters within the County, maintains voter's records, organizes and conducts voter registration drives, trains Election Officials and supervises primary, special and general election polling precincts for local, state and federal elections.

An appointed constitutional officer, the Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and election results. The Registrar conducts registrations and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the Department of Elections.

The next election for our County is November 4, 2014. This ballot will have Senate and House of Representative seats, a Constitutional Amendment, Bond Referendums and a Special Election. This election is to fill Eric Cantor's seat that he is vacating August 2014. Attached is the Writ for special election to fill a vacancy. All polling places open as usual, 6:00am until 7:00pm.
