Purpose:
The General Registrar's Office (Voter Registration) registers all qualified voters within the County, maintains voter's records, organizes and conducts voter registration drives, trains Election Officials and supervises primary, special and general election polling precincts for local, state and federal elections.

The next Electoral Board Meeting will be May 30, 2013 at 5:30pm. The Board will meet at the Marshall Center that evening before election official training.

An appointed constitutional officer, the Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and election results. The Registrar conducts registrations and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the State Board of Elections.

The next election for our County is a dual primary election - June 11, 2013. All polling places open as usual, 6:00am until 7:00pm. Check our Facebook Page - Spotsylvania Votes - for updates and election information. Sample ballots can be viewed here: Republican and Democratic. ONLY voters in the 54th House of Delegates can vote in the Republican Primary. REMINDER - you can only vote once, therefore you will pick which ballot you'd like to vote...democratic or republican.
