The General Registrar's Office (Voter Registration) registers all qualified voters within the County, maintains voter's records, organizes and conducts voter registration drives, trains Election Officials and supervises primary, special and general election polling precincts for local, state and federal elections.

An appointed constitutional officer, the Registrar ensures that the opportunity to register and vote is available to all eligible residents. Managing efficient elections while protecting the integrity of the democratic process, the Registrar's office also compiles and maintains accurate voter records and election results. The Registrar conducts registrations and elections as required by the Constitution, Code of Virginia and directives of the State Board of Elections.

NEW - as of July 23rd...you can now register ONLINE. Please click this link on the State Board site to access the database to complete or update your registration.
The next election for our County is the General Election - November 5, 2013. All polling places open as usual, 6:00am until 7:00pm. Check our Facebook Page - Spotsylvania Votes - for updates and election information.Click here to view the list of local candidates for the General election. Below are the sample ballots for the November 5, 2013 General Election. Since our County has multiple House of Delegate Districts, you may need to know your House District in addition to your Precinct. You can find this information on your Voter ID card (middle section), by looking up your voting information on the State Board site (find your polling place - link below) or call our office at 507-7380.
