Youth Basketball 2012/2013

 

Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation Department offers basketball leagues for boys and girls ages 6 - 17 who are Spotsylvania County residents. The age determination date is July 31, 2012. Registration for youth basketball is October 9 - 31, 2012. The registration fee is $45.00. 

On line registration is available. (A household waiver must be completed and on file with the Parks & Recreation Office prior to registering on line.) If your child requires an Age Waiver Form , you must register your child at the Parks and Recreation Office. Online registration will begin Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

REFUNDS - Those wishing to withdraw from the program before December 4, 2012 must do so by contacting the Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation Department.  Individuals should follow up their verbal cancellation request with a written refund request.  A 20% administrative fee will be charged on all refunds.  There will be no refunds given to those who withdraw after Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

Practices will be held weekday evenings and Saturdays during the month of December.  Games will be played weekday evenings an Saturdays beginning in January.  The program, including playoffs, will conclude in March.  The Developmental (instructional-age 6) program will begin in December with team meetings on Saturdays.

Players that register by the deadline will be contacted by a Coach by December 10 as to which team they are on and when the first practice will be. Developmental Basketball players will be contacted by a Team Representative by November 20, as to which team they are on and when the first team meeting will be.

Age Waiver- Must be filled out and turned in with registration form for child to be considered one year older than his/her true age for purposes of youth sports league placement.
