Baseball/Softball/T-Ball Information 2013
Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation Department offers Baseball for ages 8 - 18, Softball for ages 8 - 18 and T-Ball ages 5 - 7 for boys and girls who are Spotsylvania County residents. The age determination date is July 31st, 2013. Registration for Youth Baseball / Softball / T-Ball begins on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013. The registration fee is $45.00. Children ages 9-18 (as of July 31, 2013) may not participate in 2013 Baseball/Softball and 2013 Spring Soccer at the same time due to conflicting game schedules.
To register, complete the registration form and return it by mail or in person with the fee and a copy of the child's birth certificate (if one is not already on file with us) to the Parks and Recreation Department. A drop box is located at Loriella Park at the office and is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - dusk. DO NOT return forms to the schools.
REFUNDS - Those wishing to withdraw from the program must do so by contacting the Spotsylvania Parks and Recreation Department prior to team placements. Individuals must follow up their verbal cancellation request with a written refund request. A 20% administrative fee will be charged on all refunds. There will be no refunds given to those who withdraw after a child has been placed onto a team.
On line registration is available beginning on the first day of registration. (A household waiver must be completed and on file with the Parks & Recreation Office prior to registering on line.) If your child requires an Age Waiver Form , you must register your child at the Parks and Recreation Office, you cannot complete the transaction online. Online registration will begin Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
Baseball - Open to youth ages 8-18
Softball - Open to girls ages 8-17
T-Ball - Open to youth ages 5-7
Age Waiver Form - The Age Waiver allows you to request to have your child play up one age group for sports, you cannot complete the transaction online. This does not apply to all programs. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Office at 507-7529 for additional information.
Transfer Form - All transfers must be made in person prior to the start of practices and/or games. A transfer request form must be filled out and signed before a transfer can be made. Transferred registrants may be placed on a waiting list if there is no space available. A $5.00 fee will be charged for each transfer.
