Erosion Bond Instructions
Instructions for completing Erosion and Sediment Control Bond Forms:
Bonds for land disturbance of single family homes are as follows:

Bond estimates for commercial and subdivision development will be determined by your Engineer and submitted at the time of permit application. The estimate will/can be approved or modified by the Erosion and Sediment Control Program Administrator. The lot number, subdivision, and section, where applicable, or job name and location must be listed on the bond. Letters of Credit must be on the bank’s letterhead and in approved format only. When referencing the date of the agreement, this should be the approval date of the site plan. Insurance Bonds must be on approved format, a minimum amount of $7,000.00(for residential only) and be accompanied by a Power of Attorney and must be in the landowner’s name. All documents and signatures must be original. These documents must be typed not hand written.
The following are 3 options for posting the E&S bond:
1. Cash bond - Check Format Only
2. Letter of Credit - Approved Format Only and On Bank Letterhead
3. Surety Bond (Insurance bond) - Posted by the Landowner Only, Minimum Amount of $7,000.00, Power of Attorney must be attached & Approved Format Only
