Purpose:
The Capital Projects Management Department oversees Spotsylvania County's Capital Improvement Projects, which include approved county buildings and County administered road projects. The purpose of Capital Projects Management is to improve the quality of life and safety of the individuals within the community, while ensuring full value of tax dollar expenditures.

Over the past two decades, Spotsylvania County has been one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. The County has expanded and enhanced public services to meet the needs of the growing population. In the 2004 Citizen Satisfaction Survey, Spotsylvania County residents named education, roads, public safety, libraries, and parks as top priorities. With that in mind, the Capital Projects Management Team, in conjunction with all other County departments, are hard at work improving life for the citizens and businesses in Spotsylvania County.
